Fundamental studies of the interaction between metals and wooden surfaces

(Kopie 3)

Project Leader: Prof. W. Maus-Friedrichs

Funding period: 10/2010 - 10/2013

The study of the interactions of metals and organic materials is of fundamental interest. The influence of the organic compounds that finish off the surfaces on the type of adsorption (2D growth or particle) and on the chemical reactions between metal atoms or wooden surfaces, is to be studied during this project. Titanium is to be studied as representative of the reactive and catalytically active metals and silver as representative of the less reactive metals.
